DYNAMIS

The organic shapes of this project consist of the intertwining of arches made of bamboo and rope. 

DYNAMIS by ARUNDO is a tribute to the movement that is at the origin of life, marking every process of natural birth, growth and diversification.  

The installation supports and replicates the organic behavior of its constituents, proposing the image of an organism in which artistic creation is combined with natural creativity. 

Arundo believes in an Ecological Art, which can grow in the complete respect and hearkening of Nature. The building materials used for this piece come from the careful maintenance and upkeep of local reeds; the assembly method ensures that no waste is produced, leaving no trace behind.  

Discovering bamboo by observing its cycles and its intrinsic characteristics as strength and flexibility, reveals that the creation process can be a ritual, where every single step is important, from the initial harvesting until the fine details. 

Working with bamboo also helps to understand how art can be a social meeting place, where people have the opportunity to experience teamwork in a cooperative group and their own potential.
