VERGE

LIGHT ART INSTALLATION

Verge the new audiovisual installation by Radiante Light Art Studio and Iván Llopis for immersive spaces, presents the threshold where the known dissolves into the mysterious, where what is sensed is not clearly defined but is intensely perceived. Laser light, digital LED, robotics, particle atmosphere, and immersive video projection.

Concept

Is there really something on the other side, or is it simply an echo of our own existence, resonating in the depths of our being?

Is this communication an external phenomenon, a signal sent from an unreachable place, or perhaps the reflection of an internal duality, a construction of the psyche projecting its own complexity into the void?

The threshold where the known dissolves into the mysterious, where what is sensed is not clearly defined, but is intensely perceived.

Main technical data

The artwork utilizes laser light technology, digital pixel LEDs, robotics, and video. It is easily adaptable to the dimensions of any immersive video room, with minimum requirements of 6 meters in width, 14 meters in length, and 4.5 meters in height. The installation features 10 lasers that must be hung in precise positions.

The installation requires floor projection and uses fog machines to create a subtle atmospheric effect. It

includes two physical elements, each occupying an area of 1x1 meter with a height of 4 meters.

A sound system suitable for the room's dimensions is essential. Verge is presented in 7-minute cycles, with attendees typically staying for at least two cycles of 4 minutes.

Assembly and adjustment are usually carried out in 16 to 20 hours, disassembly is completed in 3 hours.
